l’Ardèche Verte

It was the wettest recorded May since 1959, but that did not stop a recent party of walkers!  The grass is a mile high, the elder flowers are the size of dinner plates and the hay meadows are full of the most fantastic display of wild flowers even by the usual standards in these parts.  Everyone enjoyed identifying a multitude of species and the accompanying song of the nightingales, cuckoos, larks and swallows.

This is a truly magical time of year to be walking in the Ardèche.
