Les 3 Croix

About a half an hour’s walk below Les Sarziers is France’s smallest railway station (“Arlebosc International”) It is located at one end of the railway bridge which spans the river Doux. Crossing the viaduct you find yourself at the foot of a rocky outcrop referred to as Les 3 Croix (or 2 1/2 Croix at present). We have not been up there for nearly twenty years (due to the you-never-visit-what-is-on your-door-step-syndrome) and realised that this makes a great walk – especially if the weather is a bit dodgy for a long hike. The view down to the meandering Doux and towards the villages of Arlebosc and Le Crestet is breathtaking.
